Happy Monday, Music Families!

We hope you had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying our winter concert season. We finished the first full week of January with two incredible Musicales. Below you will find some photo highlights from the winter Gospel Choir concert and Musicale #1. Catch photo highlights from Musicale #2 in the next edition of Music Monday.

This week we have the Winter Semi-Annual Concert, featuring LaGuardia's top ensembles - Philharmonic Orchestra and the Senior Chorus. The concert will take place on Wednesday, January 15 and Thursday, January 16 at 6:30pm in the Concert Hall. (Please note the calendar below has the wrong time and we can't update it because it is auto populated from the school calendar; the concert most certainly begins at 6:30pm) The repertoire is the same both nights, but feel free to see it twice! You definitely do not want to miss this one! You can read more about it on the LaGuardia Arts Instagram page, or in today's YellowSheet.

Please mark your calendars. The New Music Showcase has been moved to Wednesday, January 22 at 6pm and will now be held in the Little Flower Theatre for all to enjoy. Tickets on sale now!

As always, we thank everyone for coming out and supporting your students and your Music Studio with your donations and purchases.

Dear Music Studio Families,

January has been  an exciting month for the Music Studio with our winter concert series, which continues this week with two Semi-Annual performances and next week with the New Music Showcase.

One of the best ways to both support our program and have a great night out is to attend our concerts. All concert proceeds go directly to support our program. Our program needs include the upkeep of instruments, purchasing of music for our ensembles, and funding teaching artists that work with our students.

Tickets for January concerts can be purchased here and you can find the performance calendar here.

I look forward to seeing you at one of the concerts.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at Bschott@schools.nyc.gov if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Benjamin Schott

Assistant Principal - Music
