THE CLIVE DAVIS INSTITUTE - FUTURE MUSIC MOGULS

The Clive Davis Institute offers an entirely FREE Saturday workshop called Future Music Moguls. It meets in their state-of-the-art facilities at 370 Jay Street in Brooklyn for 14 weeks, from February 1st through May 10th.  The Spring Future Music Moguls program is FREE of charge and for groups traditionally underrepresented in the music industry. It is designed to introduce a select group of talented high school students in 9th - 11th grade to all aspects of the contemporary music business and for students who may not have access to other programs and who would qualify for financial aid at NYU.

Students who participate in Future Music Moguls not only learn about the creative process behind making songs, but they're also exposed to the exciting behind-the-scenes business decisions that help music wind up in the ears of audiences around the world. With a strong emphasis on current issues and rising trends in the distribution and delivery of music, students learn about music entrepreneurship and are exposed to career guidance that can be applied to a wide range of future activities, music related or otherwise.

Application deadline November 11, 2024.  Future Music Moguls is part of NYU Tisch School of the Arts' programming for high school students. When applying, students should select the "2024 Tisch Spring Future Artists" application in the portal.

FROM THE TOP Scholarship Opportunity

The Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award is a one-time, non-renewable, need-based grant of up to $10,000 given in conjunction with full participation in From the Top's Learning and Media Lab Fellowship

Each year, From the Top chooses approximately 20 pre-collegiate musicians ages 8-18 to receive the Award. The Award is given to driven and committed pre-collegiate musicians with financial need to help offset the often prohibitively expensive costs of studying classical music at a high level.

You are eligible if you are: classical instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers (ages 8–18) who are full-time elementary, middle, or high school students, and have not yet entered college.

High School seniors graduating in 2025 must apply by November 15, 2024 in order to be considered for the award before graduation.
