LAGUARDIA TRANSPORTATION PARTNERS PROGRAM (LTTP)

This is a pilot program initiated by the LaGuardia Parents Association and the Community Engagement Office of LaGuardia High School. The purpose of this initiative is to help connect families who want to make independent travel plans with each other to and from school. If you are interested, please click this link to complete the form https://forms.gle/h4VbyCV5D95HZ9Za8.

You will be contacted by Jerrianna Phenix (jphenix2@schools.nyc.gov) our Community Engagement Manager/Parent Coordinator, who will provide you with information of other participating families that live in your borough. This will enable you to reach out to other families to see if your students want to travel together. All years (freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors) are welcome to join. We are really excited about this pilot program and look forward to it growing every year.

RISING STARS INFO SESSION

Be a part of the 30+ year LaGuardia tradition! Rising Stars is a variety show combining acts created by the students from all majors and designed by students in the tech department. Many acts are showcasing talents that are not featured in their given majors but are all at levels that rival Broadway. Auditions will take place late October. Encourage your kids to start forming their acts now. Group acts are encouraged but solo acts can audition too. Please join us for our informational session where you can learn more about the event and ask questions. The session will be recorded.

WELCOME FRESHMAN FAMILIES and hello to the entire LaGuardia community from the ACADEMIC FORUM!

For those of you who are not familiar with us, the Academic Forum is a group of four parents who provide another layer of support to both
students, parents, faculty, and administration to make sure that the academic opportunities at LaGuardia are meeting the needs of all of our students
with optimum standards. This encompasses many things, but rather than go into all the details here, we will formally introduce ourselves at our first PA meeting later this month, further explain our role, and address any questions you might have. In the meantime we can be reached at: academicforum@laguardiahspa.org.

Wishing everyone the best  of everything for the 2024-25 school year!
