PANELISTS

Josh Teaster joined the Oberlin Conservatory of Music admissions team in 2012 as the Assistant Director. After several years, he was elevated to Associate Director and then became the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management in 2022. A former amateur bassoonist, Josh takes pride in the opportunity to help students pursue their passions in the arts and music, and is a regular speaker on panels related to arts administration and enrollment. Outside of work, he’s an avid SCUBA diver that enjoys exploring the shipwrecks of the Great Lakes.

Victoria Colella-Larizza, M.Ed. (she/they), was raised in Lorain County, near Oberlin, and has served as the Assistant Director for the Office for Disability & Access at Oberlin College & Conservatory for the past three years. With five years of experience in higher education disability services and seven years as a K-12 Intervention Specialist for Moderate/Intensive needs, Victoria brings extensive expertise to their role. Their teaching career began in Bethel, Alaska, an area so remote it is accessible only by air or water. At Oberlin, Victoria oversees the Student Accessibility Coordinators and works directly with students to ensure equitable access to the college experience. With staff support, they have spearheaded initiatives like Student Academic Support Sessions (SASS) for executive functioning, communication, and time management and helped launch the Peers for Young Adults Program, a 16-week social skills intervention for building relationships. Outside of work, Victoria contributes to their family’s small business and enjoys spending time with their partner, son, and fur babies, including Izzy, a rescue dog from Alaska.

Vaughn Watson is the Director of Student Success at Manhattan School of Music. A seasoned educator and higher education professional, Vaughn specializes in TESOL Pedagogy, Academic Coaching, Faculty Training and Development, and Disability Services. At Last!

Senior One Acts will be performed on December 4th, 11th, and 18th @ 6:00pm. Finally, our Seniors will show us what this world-class conservatory training has all been leading up to (insert joke about waiting tables here). Also, merch will be on sale from 5-6pm so you can get your swag swagger on.

Something Clever About Fundraising Goes Here!

Okay, we're done trying to lure you into a fundraising appeal with wit and whimsy. It's time to get real. We need money to continue delivering world-class conservatory training (see above) to our talented kids. To give you an idea of some of the special events we're able to fund when we have the funds: This year, our 9th & 10th graders went to see The Outsiders - we secured discounted tickets AND sponsored any child who wanted to go but couldn't pay. So, can you spare a dime (x10000)?

Donate HERE.
