NEED YOUR EXPERTISE

As we come together to tackle our school's budget crisis, many are asking "How can I help?" If you have an area of expertise or are interested in helping explore different revenue sources, please complete THIS google form. The PA is looking to create resource teams we can reach out to when there is a specific need in your area of interest/expertise. This doesn't necessarily mean more meetings so don't worry.

Erica Schohn, Senior Parent

As we only had 8 people register for SAT/ACT prep classes taught by Academic Approach (instead of the required minimum of 18), the special class for LaGuardia was cancelled (students who enrolled have been directly contacted by AA). However, they are allowing LaG students to take a course on Sundays that is open to students from other high schools. The price we were originally offered will be the same. That registration deadline is December 1.

Information about the virtual class options can be found HERE.

Please check the College Board site for SAT/ACT test dates. The first SAT test date in 2025 is March 8; students can take the test numerous times. Unless your child is efficient at self-prepping, test prep courses really do help and can increase scores significantly!

Guest Artist Series Donation Drive - Nov 1-15 - Halfway there!

Thank you so much for your generous donations to help bring back the Guest Artist Series! We are halfway there - amazing! - and need $5,000 more before November 15 to restore the master classes for this year's 9th through 12th graders. Please help us meet our goal!

As a reminder, the much-loved Guest Artist Series brings in professional teachers from the field and exposes all dance majors, grades 9-12, to a variety of dance forms. However, due to budget constraints, the Guest Artist Series is currently on hold and will likely be eliminated for the school year without your help.

We heard from parents - you and your students don't want this to happen! Therefore, 100% of donations to the Dance PA between Nov 1 and Nov 15th will go directly to bringing back guest artists. A donation of $250 covers one guest artist for one grade. If we raise $10,000 between Nov 1 and Nov 15, we can restore the program in full.

Click HERE to see the amazing artists brought in for the 2023-24 Guest Artist Series. We don't want our students to miss out on similar opportunities this year so donate now!
