TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK!

Teacher-Staff Appreciation Week

May 6th - May 10th

This week is Teacher-Staff Appreciation week. The PA is making sure that our school feels the love. We have a favor to ask families: on Gratitude Day (May 8th), the SGO will have a table in the lobby asking students to write a kind note to their teachers and/or staff on post-it notes. Please encourage your students to take a minute to do that.

A kind note of thanks goes a long way!

How can you show teachers you appreciate them during Teacher Appreciation Week? Wednesday 5/8 is "Gratitude Day," and we ask that parents email messages of appreciation to teachers and any staff member you interact with. Please use the Faculty and Staff Directory to find your student's teachers and acknowledge their hard work! Please note that the in-person activities listed below are only for faculty, staff and administrators.

DONORS CHOOSE

Thank you for fully funding the request from Mr. Mesiouris for supplies for the drafting and dice units for The Science of Board Game Design course.

DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to support teachers' projects, ensuring that teachers and students have the tools and experiences they need for a great education. The LaGuardia community has done a great job of helping to fund teachers' projects.

Let's keep the momentum going!

  • Let's help Mrs. McGoey get an iPad, tissues and paper for student hygiene and projects.
  • Let's help Mr. Rahman get a new external hard drive to save students' lab assignments.

Please visit our DonorsChoose page and share the links with your networks, family and friends. Anyone can donate, and all donations are tax deductible. Your generosity and support is greatly appreciated.
