From 12/6 through 12/10 this five day extravaganza will give you an opportunity to buy various flavors of popcorn for yourself and others. The link, event code and directions on how to order will be emailed out on Wednesday 12/6 morning. The PA will receive 50% of the gross profits, which will be distributed to our studios. 

Thank you for fully funding three teacher projects this past week:

• Ms. Ross will now receive wireless microscopes, giving students the ability to work on small scale drawings and etchings in great detail. 
• Mr. Harkness will now receive engaging texts to help students further develop their reading skills.
• Ms. Fischer will now receive printer copy paper for math and health classes

There are currently 11 teachers' projects on our DonorsChoose page. With even more budget cuts on the horizon, it is more important than ever that we support our teachers and students by helping to fund these projects.

This program is online only. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is undergoing some changes this fall. This virtual info talk will help students and their families understand the new developments in applying for this free government financial aid for college/university, the benefits of doing so, and additional resources to help fill out this application.

Academic Approach* is offering a virtual ACT or SAT prep course to LaGuardia students in preparation for 2024 tests. The course is aimed at helping students improve their score growth potential by reviewing key skill sets in reading, writing, math and science, and the application of these skills on college entrance exams. This course, which starts in January, includes 24 hours of instruction, 2 full-length practice tests, and additional study materials. The cost of the course is greatly reduced for LaG students at $400. The deadline to sign up is December 10, 2023. A minimum of 18 students must sign up for the course in order to secure the discount. Check out the latest Dance Happenings calendar, which outlines all important dates, upcoming events and links: to new initiatives specific to the dance department, the schedule for Parent Observation Week beginning TOMORROW December 4th, and the 10th grade field trip to see How to Dance in Ohio on December 8th.  

All new dance merchandise will be available for purchase during Parent Observation Week on the 8th floor next to the dance office at the conclusion of the morning and afternoon demonstrations.

Teens Open Studio at The Whitney A free art-making program on select Fridays: 12/8. Work with contemporary artists to create and learn new techniques with art projects inspired by The Whitney’s exhibitions and collection.
