On Monday, September 18th @ 6:30 PM there will be a special Parent Association election meeting via Zoom to fill the following positions:

VP of Engagement & Hospitality
VP of Special Education
Senior Class Representative
Junior Class Representative
Sophomore Class Representative
Freshman Class Representative
Student Leadership Team (SLT) - Freshman Parent Representative
Student Leadership Team (SLT) - IEP/504 Parent Representative

All current parents/guardians are welcome and encouraged to run for Parent Association and Student Leadership Team positions. All nominations will be accepted the evening of the meeting. Candidates can nominate themselves or have someone else nominate them. Candidates will have one minute to introduce themselves and explain why they are interested in the position. If you would like to run for a position but can’t make the meeting, please reach out to president@laguardiahspa.org so we can make sure you are on the ballot.

VOTING

• Every parent/guardian with a registered student at LaGuardia is eligible to vote.
• In order to participate in the Zoom election meeting, a participant must rename themselves on Zoom using the last 4 digits of your student’s school ID number. Please take a moment to find this information before the meeting on September 18^th. 
• The Zoom link will be open 30 minutes before the start of the meeting in case you need help finding your student’s ID number.
• The meeting will start PROMPTLY at 6:30pm. If you have not renamed yourself with the last 4 digits of your student’s ID, you cannot be a part of the meeting. No exceptions. 
• If both parents/guardians attend the meeting, you must rename yourselves with an A and B after the last 4 digits of your student’s ID.

We suggest donating $500 to the General PA and $250 to your student's studio. For credit card donations, use the links below. If you are donating to both the General PA and to a Studio, you will need to make two separate transactions.

We will hold monthly Zoom meetings for the Fine Arts Studio. The first one will be in late September. Stay tuned for more details! If you haven't already, be sure to create an account through the LaGuardia PA website to receive Fine Arts Studio emails. 

Please join us for our first DANCE PA meeting on September 20th @7:00 PM via Zoom (link to follow). We will discuss our plans and goals for this year, and will be looking for volunteers to help build our community. Separately, we will be providing information soon about an opportunity to meet your student’s dance teachers - to be offered in person and virtually - to be held in October.

Our first Parents of Drama Students meeting will be virtual and is tentatively set for September 27th! This meeting will be virtual, immediately following the General PA meeting. A Zoom link will be provided closer to the date. 

SENIOR FAMILIES - SAVE THE DATE
This year, all Drama seniors will receive FREE headshots courtesy of Stomping Ground Photo! The initial shoot date is saved for 10/21, with a make-up date TBD. We are so excited to be offering this service. Please mark your calendars and look for more information in our September newsletter.

Music Studio Meetings We are planning to hold an in-person Music Studio meeting as soon as possible, but it will likely be early in October. 

Music Studio Merchandise Those of you who were able to join us for the New Family Orientation on August 30th were able to see some of our new merchandise, and even more is coming! We plan to have our online store open by the end of September. More information will be in Music Monday as well.
