Welcome Message from Jamie McShane Parents Association President
We're back and we've hit the ground running! Thanks to the generosity of LaGuardia families, last week we were able to cater breakfast for teachers and staff on their first day back, and provide snacks for an after-school Big Sib/Little Sib event.
We also pulled off a tremendously successful First Day Red Carpet Welcome Back celebration. It was a high energy, festive, warm welcome complete with music and grand opening flags. If you were there, you won't soon forget the beautiful sight of LaG students arriving on Day 1, taking selfies on the red carpet with parents and friends.
Special thanks to everyone who made these initiatives happen. I am in awe of the positive energy of LaGuardia families who are seemingly always willing to go above and beyond for our community.
If you are NEW to LaGuardia, click here for details about Welcome Sessions for incoming LaG families on either September 13 at 6:30 pm OR September 14 at 7:30 am to connect with other LaGuardia families, and learn how you can get involved. |

Reminders from Principal Vasconcelos Please review the "Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year" communication for vital information families will want to bookmark to reference throughout the school year.
Most faculty and staff have been on vacation since the end of June. They are going through three months of emails while welcoming students back to school. An email that is received the first week of school may need a few extra days before a response is possible.
The DOE Grades, Messaging, and Attendance system is scheduled to be operational no earlier than September 8. We will continue to send emails through the PupilPath mailing list for a few days until all families have had a chance to navigate over.
All schoolwide announcements are posted here on the school's website.
